635 Sales Gap Analysis

Purpose & Benefits
This function allows you to get Sales Gap Analysis, not available in TASBooks, fast and efficiently. Gap Analysis is a powerful Sales & Marketing tool; it not only summarises what you have sold, but also what you have not sold – so you can spot opportunities to sell other products and services to existing customers. It uses an industry standard reporting tool which enables you to use customisable report layout Templates that can easily be tailored to suit individual business needs, and which gives you many export options to other file formats (CSV, spreadsheet etc) to email or directly to another application (Excel, Word etc).

The Sales Gap Analysis filter selection form is initially set with default information from Maintain Central Information. There are up to 16 filters as shown above. The way in which you make selections in each of these sections is crucial to the nature of the analysis results, and each filter is described in the following table.

Tip: Delivery Address Code Range

This section is enabled if the Single Customer option above is selected. Note that the default From value is ‘[Blank]’ because, even though the Customer may have one or more Delivery Codes set up, there may be Invoices where no Delivery Code was specified when the Sales Order was entered.

You can select which Template to use from the drop-down menu; remember you can add one or more extra templates using the Document Templates function in the Central > Central Information menu. Having completed your selections, simply click the Process button to run the report.
