636 Sales Order Report

Purpose & Benefits
This function lets you generate a report of orders via workfiles using Report Templates for report layouts, which can also be exported to other file formats (CSV, Excel etc). More than 100 columns (fields) of order/customer/product information are available for use in report/export templates.

The process begins by giving you a comprehensive form with which to filter your orders:

Filters allow you to narrow the report parameters (choices) based on your selections.
By default, no filters are applied except for ‘Order Number’ and ‘Customer Codes’ .

You have many separate filter options:

FilterOptionsRemarks/Notes
Order NumberAll, Range or Single
Customer CodeAll, Range or Single
SalespersonAll, Range or Single
TypeQuotations, Proformas, Orders/Invoices, Credit Notes
Warehouse CodeAll, Range or SingleTrade feature only
Order DateAll, Range or Single
Expected Shipping DateAll, Range or Single

The form below shows a typical filter scenario. Here only orders for these filters will be shown on the report:

  • Single Salesperson
  • with orders expected to ship in the next week

Note

Unlike some reports, the Sales Order Report does not show the orders found in advance of clicking Process. This is due to the potential number of records to be investigated. If these were shown on the initial reporting screen then the report would just run twice as slowly.

Report Template

Select from the drop down list the template you wish to use. To add or alter a template, see Document Templates.
Click the Process button to produce a report which is displayed for preview.
