| This function enables you to maintain “mappings” between your Customers’ product codes and the corresponding codes in your TAS product file. It includes adding new, changing and deleting mappings. These mappings are used by other functions, such as Mapping Enquiry in this module or Sales Order Document Production in the Sales Order module where your customers may require that their product code appears on Delivery Notes. If you have the Sales Order module and have set up the relevant mappings in this module, you can print your customers’ codes on all types of sales documentation – see Packing/Despatch/Delivery for full details. |
On selection you are presented with the following screen.

TAS Customer Selection
Select a customer by entering a valid customer code or use the standard Navigation Function keys to search your files. When you have found the correct customer press Tab.
The Product code mapping grid now appears in the lower section of the window:

Product Code Mapping
Double-click the TAS Product Code field and highlight a TAS product code (or use the F2 Lookup). Once you have highlighted the required code click the Select button to return to theMaintain Customer Product Mappings form.
The product description will be populated automatically.
Press Tab twice to navigate to the Customer Product Code field and enter your customer’s corresponding Product Code. Once you have more than one record entered on the grid you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move between rows and columns.
Mappings may be deleted by clicking the red [X] button at the end of each row.
Use the Save button to accept your mappings or click Close to quit.
