| This function allows you to view TASBooks Product records you have mapped to other TASBooks Product records in program/function 5.1.5 – essentially denoting that they are the same ‘thing’. This can be really useful if you sell a large number of products, buy the same product from different suppliers and use the suppliers own product code in your system. |
On loading, the View Product Mappings grid is filled with a page of Product records.
The Product information is displayed in various columns as shown below.
Items with a [+] icon on the left hand side indicate mapped products (code 01PRODUCT in example above).
Items with a [-] icon have no mapping record.
The ‘grouping’ is expanded by clicking the [+] button to show the mapping details.
In this case, product code 01PRODUCT is mapped to product code PRODUCT01.
You can see the Qty In Stock for each item, the average cost, the combined Qty In Stock and the Total valuation (Avg Cost x Total Qty In Stock).
Show/Hide
By default all columns are displayed. The user can customise which columns to show and in which order by pressing the ‘Show/Hide‘ button. This causes the ‘Show/Hide Items‘ form to be displayed as shown below.
